introduction

From annual reports, to campaign collateral and bespoke marketing materials, all of our print work is designed to both look and feel great, plus we continue to use interesting yet environmentally friendly materials in print publications wherever possible, from recycled paper to sustainably sourced wood and recycled tyres.

Our printers are audited on a regular basis in accordance with our ISO 14001 requirements, and all have considerable environmental credentials, including waterless printing and FSC accreditation.

Our design offering includes illustration of various styles, including characters and detailed maps. We also create print ready artwork and manage print production.

American Hardwood Export Council // Species Guide

This detailed guide to all key American Hardwood species is printed on recycled paper, with two clearly defined sections printed on uncoated and silk stock. The heavy, recycled cover is printed then blind debossed to represent the wood grain. The detail of the cover gives the guide gravitas required for a ‘must have’ source of information within the industry, containing information on properties, aesthetic, limitations, grading and sustainability, with supporting case studies and spectacular species usage examples. Production standards are high to ensure that the imagery can be used across the industry to grade wood. The Guide is currently being printed in multiple languages.

American Hardwood Export Council // Various print

Since 2009 we have developed varied print solutions for American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) special projects and promotions, in addition to key industry publications.

Reflecting the elegance and design excellence that is core to each special project, we carefully consider every aspect of printed materials to be used at international design festivals.

Each document has a story to tell and this is reflected in each detail including format and paper stock, in addition to the overall identity.

Too good to waste

A bilingual gatefold leaflet promoting 'Too good to waste' at Milan Design Week. Reflecting the central message of the project; sustainability and using things that are overlooked, we selected a beautiful paper stock that is made using polluting algal blooms of the Venice Lagoon.

The Invisible Store of Happiness

Leaflets and postcards designed to promote and encourage visitor engagement at ‘The Invisible Store of Happiness’ installation at Clerkenwell Design Week, promoting the sustainable qualities of American cherry and maple.

The Smile

We designed the identity of The Smile: an ambitious, exciting architectural project inspired by American Hardwood Export Council for London Design Week 2016. The shape of the installation is reflected in the logo. A promotional leaflet, graphics and a website provide detailed insight into the materials, design process and production of this 20m long curved wooden installation.

Canal & River Trust // Various print

We have worked in partnership with Canal & River Trust since 2011. Print projects range from multiple annual reports, Boaters reports and their first Outcomes report, to marketing leaflets and promotional information, including Z-cards, newspapers, internal communication materials and leaflets for national distribution.

As the brand has evolved through two new identity rollouts, our work continues to support the overall corporate strategy, maintains brand integrity, and engages the target audience to communicate core messaging effectively.

The Vegan Society // Plate Up for the Planet campaign materials

Printed materials to support this evolving campaign include a postcard pack, filled with facts and ideas for a new vegan lifestyle, vegan recipe books supported by celebrity chefs, z-card information packs, posters, stickers and roadshow graphics. All were produced within a tight budget, supporting other digital campaign activities.

quality and detail

Where possible we use recycled and FSC stock, and more unusual papers that give our printed materials that extra quality, for example when designing invites for the Wood Awards.

Where possible we aim to give each job a little something special to create stand out and engagement, through paper stock, finishing, bespoke shape, fold, information sequence or tone of voice.

Greenpeace // Various Projects

We have been working on campaigns for climate issues for over 20 years and our journey began with Greenpeace. We have worked on a broad range of issues with Greenpeace from tackling the climate inaction of BP with spoof shareholder packs, to campaigns calling on the general public to buy areas of the sea floor to protect it from drilling, and promotions for solar power when it first emerged as a viable green source of energy.

Give us a challenge

We thoroughly enjoy the challenge of designing and printing something a little more unusual such as these 3D Christmas cards.
